Possible Power Outage – Jan. 18, 2024

Today, DELMARVA sent a rolling voice mail to Cape Windsor homeowners (but not all).  This Thursday, 1/18/24 starting at 9:00 am, Cape Windsor’s power will be off possibly up to 8 hours.

The workorder is for the power company to disconnect old lines and reconnect new lines.  All lines have already been trenched underground and rolled at the base of the electric pole to install the new connections. So most likely the time frame will be less than the estimated 8 hrs.

Things for you to know:

  1. We will have access to water, our pumps will run with the backup generator.  Please use water sparingly, fill containers so you have water on hand.
  2. If you have a garage, you may want to leave your car out overnight so you have immediate access.
  3. Charge your cell phone so you have access to call in case you need help.
  4. If you have a propane fireplace you may want to turn it on before 9am for heat.
