We have two water main breaks at;

1. Grant Ave., and Lincoln Dr., also
2. Wilson Ave.

The water will be off for the entire community, including the pool bathrooms.

We do not know the extent of these repairs to can give an exact timeline. You should prepare for the water to be off the majority of the day.

A few tips to get you through the day;

1. Fill large pots with water for bathroom use
2. Fill pitchers with water for drinking, cooking, washing, etc.

Calls will be made to those who do not use email, but as usual we ask for you to help us get the word out to your neighbors and assist them if possible, to have extra water on hand.

Recycle/Trash

Recycle will be picked up tomorrow Saturday 6/3 and trash will be picked up Monday 7/5.  The recycle truck broke down and we were just informed tonight after many phone calls to Republic.

Boat Trailer Parking

There is a boat trailer with a tow sign parked on the common grounds with a Maryland tag expiration date 2018.  If this is your trailer either place your Cape Windsor address on the tongue or it will be towed sometime after Monday 7/5 at the owner’s expense, storage is over $100 a day and the tow fee is more than $200.

Vehicle Parking

A few spaces have been added to temporary overflow parking.  The spaces are in the grass on the right side of the launch area, please read the signs, there is no parking on the left side.  If cars park where is says “No Parking” they will be towed.

Annual Meeting 7/24

Please email if you are attending the annual meeting at the Roxana Fire Department’s Dining Hall, starting at 9:00 a.m.

We have now learned the plan for the farm land located across Rt. 54 from Cape Windsor. The document below was just received and indicates that the Freeman Company plans to build a Hotel and Restaurant on the property. The previous notification from Planning and Zoning had stated the Freeman Company’s plan was to build 40 – 70 Executive Homes, no explanation was given for the change in plan.

Recycling – Unfortunately, Republic Services did not show on their scheduled day nor did they inform us of any problems why they did not show.  We have contacted their customer service and they have scheduled Tuesday, December 8^th for recycle pickup.

We have calls in to the management staff to register yet another complaint about the lack of communication from Republic.

All recycling materials must be placed loose in the bin, those items include; recycling of paper, cleaned plastic, cleaned glass and cardboard, all free of any food residue.
If your items are in plastic bags, this is considered contamination of the recycling process and the truck’s contents are considered trash.

You can either take the items out of the bag and place them in your bin for recycling, or you should put a sign on the recycling bin that indicates this is trash and it will be picked up on Monday 12/14.
